How to Effectively Dehumidify Indoor Swimming Pools?

It is important to maintain the humidity of the indoor air in the swimming pool, preferably a swimming pool dehumidifier. There are two types of pool dehumidifiers. One is a ceiling-mounted dehumidifier, and the other is a large-capacity industrial-grade dehumidifier.

When the room temperature rises, water evaporation in indoor swimming pools tends to occur, especially when the temperature rises, the indoor humidity will be too high and the atmosphere will be suppressed. When the indoor water temperature is 28°C, about 20 kilograms of pool water will evaporate in 1 hour per 100 square meters of water surface. This means that a standard swimming pool evaporates 250 kg of pool water per hour. Faced with such a situation, Preair recommends using a dedicated dehumidifier for swimming pools to effectively reduce indoor humidity. In a high humidity environment, it is easy to cause discomfort due to high humidity.

Moisture is another synonym for water vapor or water vapor in the air. The hotter it is, the more water it can hold. When the warmer moist air meets the cold surface, the water vapor condenses to form condensate, which contains large amounts of residual chlorine. Warm, moist air combines with chlorine in pool water to attack ferrous metals and accelerate destructive corrosion. When chlorine-containing water vapor seeps into the pool walls, it can deteriorate cement bricks, mortar joints and bricks. Moisture promotes mold growth, which can cause buildings to age, create an unhealthy environment, lead to expensive renovations and business disruptions.

The ideal relative humidity in a swimming pool is 60%-65%. More than 70% of the air is filled with water vapor, making it uncomfortable. Below 60%, the air is too dry and swimmers will feel uncomfortable leaving the water. Therefore, the indoor relative humidity must be strictly controlled to avoid the above situation. Indoor dehumidifiers should be scientifically and reasonably selected based on factors such as initial investment, operating costs, and maintenance teams.

The starting point is the pool surface area. From this it is possible to estimate the number of liters of water vapour produced per day. And compare with the output results of different dehumidifiers. Maybe a high-power dehumidifier can discharge all the water, but from the actual effect, in order to dehumidify more comprehensively, it is recommended to use two dehumidifiers with lower power.

Preair swimming pool dehumidifier can control the relative humidity in the room through automatic control. It will not cause damage to the interior decoration due to high indoor humidity, condensation in the swimming pool, and small water droplets on the roof. At the same time, the dehumidifier has undergone anti-corrosion treatment to ensure that the copper pipes of the machine will not be corroded by chlorine gas, which effectively improves the service life of the machine.
